It's been a long time

So it was 76 weeks ago that I last updated this blog...

It was such a long time, yet it felt like yesterday that I was still on my fangirl mode, happily squeeling all over the places. Well, things have surely changed during the past 76 weeks, but I'm still the same old person who does thing on his whim.

I quitted my job 2 months ago and decided that I wanted to go back to studying. However, I'm not continuing to Master Degree ...yet. I'm going to Japan to study Japanese for 1 year before looking for a University to get my Master Degree. This decision caused quite an uproar among my friends and families alike, saying things like it would be a waste on my English capability and such. Well, who cares. I just feel like liking Japanese more than English, that's all. Anyway, in the end, everyone all agreed with my reasoning, and everything is set. So.. I'll be leaving for Japan for about 3 years starting from January 2010.

Despite all that, I still am indulged in fandom from time to time though. Right now, it would be AP Hetalia, Umineko, Vocaloid, and voice acting. during these days I'm spending my time half-half between those fandom and preparing for going to Japan. (with the fandom part being a liiiiiiittle bit bigger. LOL)

Anyway, that's all for my update on life.

Oofuri Desktop Icon

I recently changed my desktop theme from Kurosama+CLAMP fest to our beloved Oofuri. And in the process, I made tons of Desktop Icons, so I guess, I'll share them.

The Icons are made from userpics taken from the ones posted in oofuri_etccommunity. (which are posted by aisushi catfight chiretto darkxangel86 deadweasel ficcentricity kawaiiphantom negi_ramen rainy_takako realized shiome and tyltyl)

Instruction on how to change the icons

0. Download and unzip the icon pack. Place the .ico files in a place that you can permanently leave it there. (i.e. don't leave it in temporary download folder, but put it somewhere like "C:\Work\etc\Icons")

1. Right click on your desktop and select Property. A window will pop up, select Desktop tab, and click on Customize Desktop...

2. A new window will pop up. Here you can change the icon for My Computer, My Document, etc. by selecting the one you want to change and click Change Icon... Browse to the icon you like, then click OK. *Note* It is useful to copy (ctrl+c) the path of the Icon folder (i.e. C:\Work\etc\Icons) into the clipboard, so you could browse to the icon folder quickly. (paste + enter)

3. That's for My Computer and stuffs. For shortcut icon, right click on that shortcut, select Shortcut tab and click Change Icon..., then browse to the desired icon file like before.

4. For normal folders, right click on that folder, select Cuztomize tab and click on Change Icon... Then browse to the Icon file

5. Now you might think that the desktop icon is too small. Enable large icon by right click the desktop, select property, select Appearance tab, click on Effect..., then tick at Use Large Icons box.

6. Now you can enjoy the Oofuri boys on your desktop like this.

btw, does anyone have the full version of the background I'm using?
I got it from http://diary.blog.yam.com/SDarkGreen/article/4253545
but it's a screenshot of that person's desktop, so I had to clean out all the icons,
making the picture a bit messy. (especially the parts where I had to use healing brush)
If anyone know where I can find the picture-only version of this picture, please let me know, ok?
